end of the kali yuga and return of kalki avatar
"The Return of Kalki"

It is prophesized that at the end of the current age of Kali, the avatar to return and re-establish dharma is the Kalki Avatar. Pictured is the Kalki Avatar atop a mountain witnessing a comet coming in from its home in the Pleiades constellation, a cosmic visage of himself.
This rendering is done in homage to Nicholas Roerich, Russian artist and explorer whose art contains spiritual themes. These spiritual renditions are educated, as between 1925 to 1928 he traveled through China and Mongolia, meeting a lama as he traveled the borders of Tibet. This lama taught him of Shambhala's celestial home, which can be traced linguistically to the Pleiades constellation, implying that our planet shifting comet may be that of a Taurid Resonant Swarm.
Yugas, Ages, or cycles of time that have been tracked in so many cultures in history, have been written or told throughout time in magical ways. Hopi stories tell of the Ant People taking their ancestors underground while the Earth was cleansed and returning them to the surface to start a new cycle honoring the Gods. Noah's Arc is a familiar story where he was ordered to build an arc and carry 2 of each animal to live through the cleansing of the Earth and return to land and live in accordance with God's will. We see many stories like this that mark the end of one of the Yugas (Ages) repeated throughout time.
You may be familiar with the idea of the "Golden Age", but it is made golden in its comparison to its counterparts Silver, Bronze, and Iron. Four parts to indicate the residing place in the cycle of the Ages and how people are thriving (or not at all). The Sioux people of North America don't refer to the ages in precious metals so we can see their timeline measurement in the metaphor of a Buffalo losing a hair for each year, and a limb for each cycle. When it loses all of its hair and the four legs are gone, the waters will rush in and the Cycle of Four Ages will come to a watery end. Ready for some foreshadowing? The Sioux currently believe that the buffalo is nearly bald and is standing on one, wobbly leg. I did add the wobbly part for effect, but you get the picture.
buddy is stressed!
Similar to the Sioux, Hinduism refers to a Bull of Dharma that loses its legs accordingly through the ages and the names of the Yugas, or cycles, and named by leg count. We have Satya (4) Yuga in the Golden Age, Treta (3) in the Silver Age, Dwapara (2) in the Bronze Age, and Kali (1) Yuga in the Iron Age where we currently reside.
According to Bibhu Dev Misra's in-depth research in his book "Yuga Shift: The End of the Kali Yuga & The Impending Planetary Transformation", the calculated date of the end of the Kali Yuga is in March 2025. Thus begins a transitory period as the Earth is prepared for the coming age of Dwapara, initiated by rite of comet. Ancient Hindu texts explain that at the end of the Kali Yuga, the Kalki Avatar will return to re-establish dharma and destroy evil in all its manifestations. As evil is razed, divine love, spiritual enlightenment, and harmonic downloads are given to guide the people into living in a compatible vibration with the new ascending Yuga.
This may sound love and light, like the Kalki Avatar will hand rainbows and fluff to us on a golden platter, (although I suppose a bronze platter would be more appropriate for the upcoming Age…) the Yuga-ending avatars will only appear during times of great planetary crisis. Environmental disasters cause deeper rifts within humanity, who is already torn apart by greed, violence, and selfishness. Society is disconnected not just from nature, but from each other as corrupt kings rule the Earth. That last part sounds familiar, doesn't it?
On to the prophecy! It is believed that as the Kali Yuga ends, Kalki will come to us from Shambhala riding a white horse and holding a blazing sword. That's the fella in the painting! His cleansing of the Earth by way of his yoga siddhis, killing the barbarians and thieves dressed as kings is explained in the Vishnu Purana,
By his irresistible might he will destroy all the barbarians and thieves, and all whose minds are devoted to iniquity. He will re-establish righteousness upon earth, and the minds of those who live at the end of the Kali age shall be awakened, and shall be as clear as crystal. The men who are thus changed by virtue of that peculiar time shall be as the seeds of human beings, and shall give birth to a race who will follow the laws of the Krita age or Satya Yuga, the age of purity
If you think that sounds like a return of Christ, or another culture/ideology, you're on the money! One thing you'll find about learning the stories of other cultures and religions, is that the world really shares one story. Some details will change, but the foundation often matches. This is one reason I love reading about the esoteric, and how Misra was able to line up stories, history, and science to find the details for this book!
So, are we really going to see Space Gandalf riding through the lands smiting the bad guys and riding off into the sunset? Not very likely, but it would garner more attention than the Olympics to see this guy go up against the militaries and WMD's of each country if we could watch it live! Rather, a lot of storytelling is longer lasting than books and notes which makes it a great way to share history. Stories also shift with people and language which makes it transcend time, whereas ancient stories may have to be decoded or have their gaps from broken pieces assumed or disregarded by scholars.
Misra's investigations show that the timing of each Yuga shift aligns with comet swarms striking the Earth, and notes that "the imagery of Kalki on horseback, brandishing a dazzling sword, bears an uncanny resemblance to a two-tailed comet. The yellowish, curvy, dust tail of a comet can be visualized as a horse's tail or mane, while the straight, bluish ion tail resembles a sword. Thus, a brilliant two-tailed comet coursing through the night sky can be metaphorically described as a powerful, celestial figure,, riding a white horse and holding a sword."(p 291)
Funnily enough, in the 12th Century CE the poet Jaydeva Goswami's Gita Govinda (The Song of Krishna) opens with a prayer to the ten incarnations of Vishnu affirming this,
"Victory to Keshava, the lord of the Universe,
Who would assume the form of Lord Kalki,
Who would appear like a blazing comet,
Holding a terrifying sword and kill,
All barbarians at the end of Kali age."
Well, that settles it I guess! Misra goes on to explain that many ancient writers described comets as swords, like Tertullian (Christian theologian) and the Gond tribes as well. What's really cool about this book is Misra leaves no stone unturned - remember how I mentioned Lord Kalki will be coming from Shambhala? Shambhala has its own lore and stories, beliefs of where it is, and how the Tibetans can enter it by dying as heroes in the great final battle of Shambhala versus the barbarians. This transcendent kingdom that lies between samsara and Nirvana, and is Buddhist - not Hindu. However, its etymology matches the Hindu Shivaloka which is the abode of Shiva, and Indraloka, the abode of Indra that is known in story to have a "horse comet".
This "horse comet" comes from the Taurid Resonant Swarm, can you guess where it originates? Just below the Pleiades and above the "head" of the Taurus constellation.
Furthermore, as we check other stories we find that many Native Americans carry belief that their ancestors came from the Pleiades, coming from a Blue Star in the constellation called the "Seven Sister". The Seven Sisters constellation is best known today, as The Pleiades constellation. This is the constellation you can see in the upper right hand of the painting!
